クリスマスってなんだろう？ケーキやプレゼントの日？

イエス様あかちゃんの誕生日！

でもなんでイエス様あかちゃんが生まれたの？

キャンドルの灯りとクリッペによって

降誕の様子や神様の愛を学ぶ提供を行いました。

 

What is Christmas? Is it a day for cakes and presents?

It’s baby Jesus’ birthday!

But why was baby Jesus born?

We learned about the setting where Jesus was born and about God’s love through a nativity set and candle lights.

 

ヨーロッパでは教会の前にイエス様あかちゃんの人形をセットします。

混乱した社会情勢下、寒さと貧しさの中誕生したキリストに

心を寄せる装飾がほどこされます。

 

In Europe, they set up Baby Jesus dolls in front of churches.

They dress him up with heart warming decorations because Jesus was born in a cold and poor environment, in a society full of confusion.

 

クリスマスまでの時間をアドベントと言い、1か月前からお話が始まります。

１週目：預言者の光　イザヤ

２週目：聖家族の光　マリアとヨセフ

３週目：羊飼いの光

４週目：３人の博士の光

そして５つ目…　クリスマス当日　イエス様の光

 

Advent is what is known as the time before Christmas, and the storytelling begins a month before it.

Week 1: Light of prophesy - Isaiah

Week 2: Light of the holy family – Mary and Joseph

Week 3: Light of the shepherds

Week 4: Light of the wise men

Finally the 5^th week, the candle represents the light of Jesus, right on Christmas day.

 

３人の博士は、キリスト様の誕生のお祝いに

黄金(お金)

乳香(フランキンセンス)

没薬(ミルラ)

を贈りました。

今でも高価な乳香(フランキンセンス)と没薬(ミルラ)の香りを

実際に体験しました。

 

The wise men brought 3 gifts upon Jesus’ birth;

Gold

Frankincense

Myrrh

We smelt the fragrance of frankincense and myrrh, which are still valuable today.

 

モンテ棟の暗い部屋が、ろうそくの灯によってどうなった？

「あかるくなった」「あたたかいきもちになった」と答えた子どもたち。

心が暗く、不安なことや心配なことがある時は、

きっとイエス様の光が、みんなの心を明るく灯し、

恐れずに喜んで進む後押しをしてくれるでしょう。

 

What happened to the dark Montessori room when it got lit with candles?

“It got bright” “It felt warm” the children answered.

When we're down or anxious about something, the light of Jesus can brighten up our hearts and enable us to move forward with joy.

 

 

さぁ、クリスマスまでのアドベント期間、どんなことを準備しますか？

今年で４回経験したことのあるムラサキさんは、

「クリスマス祝会の劇を頑張る」

「クリスマスツリーの飾りつけをする」

「イエス様のことをお話しする」

と、次々に答えが返ってきましたよ。

 

What are we going to be preparing in the time of advent until Christmas?

The Purple class, who participated 4 times already said;

“We put our effort into our nativity play”

“We decorate the Christmas tree”

“We talk about Jesus”

On and on they answered

 

絵本「うれしいうれしいしらせ」を各年齢で読み、

ムラサキさんは印象に残った場面をキャンバスに描きました。

色を塗って完成したキャンバスはクリスマス祝会で飾ります。

Each age groups had the story book “A Merry Merry News” read to them.

The Purple class drew their favorite parts on canvases.

They will be displayed at the Christmas ceremony after they paint them.
